Melbourne, thank you for an awesome fucking evening! Apologies for the Spinal Tap intro! But, we had a great fucking time tonight! Many a band can sympathise with this. Several times.

A guest feature from filmmaker Marty DiBergi's son, Marty DiBergi Jr.

1. The band getting lost backstage
My name is Marty DiBergi, Jr. In the late fall of , my father, filmmaker Marty DiBergi, heard that the UK band Spinal Tap were releasing a new album called Smell the Glove , and were planning their first tour of the United States in almost six years. He jumped at the chance to make a documentary, which hit theaters in March , and the rest is history. Little did my dad know the cultural phenomenon that his documentary would soon become, and still remains 35 years later. As a young boy, I often found myself around the band while my father was filming, which allows me to offer never-before-told insight into some of the most memorable scenes in the movie. Ah, yes — a classic! He used the cucumber to take attention away from his natural bulge, about which he was quite self-conscious. Honestly, I felt bad for limo driver Tommy Pischedda in this scene. The band had no business rolling up the partition window on him.
2. Getting stuck inside stage equipment
George Howlett, a London-based musician and writer who specializes in jazz, rhythm, Indian classical and global improvised music, presented in Guitar World in March his "full harmonic-melodic analysis" of Nigel's solo captured in This is Spinal Tap , tracing its roots to modal jazz, Bach and the ancient Hindustani tradition of North India, which was immediately evident to anyone who listened to the entire performance and not just the rockumentary's second clip. But it was good of George to bring this to the masses. You can purchase the issue at Amazon or your favorite comics store. Derek Smalls on April 13, , released his first solo album, Smalls Change Meditations Upon Ageing , 43 years after he abandoned his initial effort to branch out with It's a Smalls World. The bassist also has a website with music videos and tour dates. It's a Smalls World was recorded in when Tap was on hiatus after a lawsuit. It is said to exist only as an eight-track demo tape but the bass tracks were released in by Skaface as It's a Dubs World. I'm also pretty sure I contributed to one of the most iconic moments in the film.
She doesn't want to marry you. This isn't what I expected. You all are strong for staying but I just don't see how it is possible long term to live like this. If we do, I will be back to share my experiences. She is now happy with her uber-Mormon boyfriend and I am happily dating other people as well. Interfaith marriage is but one variety of the learning experience. It is a demanding role being a wife to any man who works and has his own ambitions in the working world. I'll keep being me and we'll see what happens. Propagandists in the media throw around the word patriarchy as if it is synonymous with anything male.
